The team at Spitting Pig Midlands feel truly blessed for the opportunity to work as caterers in and around the Shropshire area. This is one of our favorite places to work in for many reasons. First of all there is the brilliant locals who really know how to throw a party and always make us feel welcome. Secondly there is a great selection of events constantly taking place in the many towns and villages within. We have had the pleasure of attending some amazing food and drink festivals, Christmas fairs and harvest events. However the main reason that keeps us coming back time and time again is the simple fact that few other Places within the UK can compete with the quality and diversity of the local food that is on offer here. Visiting the numerous market towns who proudly display their fresh fruit and vegetable goodies as well as high quality independent butchers, bakers and delicatessens that are scattered throughout the streets its easy to see why Shropshire is a gourmet’s idea of heaven. We love visiting here as it means we can stock up on these fine foods and use them for our special feasts.
As we are based in the midlands Shropshire locations are only a short drive away from us and we will always jump at the chance to come and cater an event and visit the beautiful area. We love driving through the unspoilt countryside, to host a hog roast event in one of the marvellous historic towns.
During over past visits we have had the pleasure of catering at many of the counties special landmarks.
We have catered for weddings in magnificent Shropshire castles, roasted hogs for outdoor events in the wonderful countryside and along the famous river bank, and our famous roasts have also been part of medieval reenactments at various museum events in the area.
