Good morning Kate,

Thank you for hosting the catering at my wife’s 60th birthday party on Sat 9 Dec at the Reading Rooms in Gloucester.

The service that I received from you has been exemplary, from my initial enquiry, to Lee and his assistant arriving on the day. Their timekeeping was superb and with the introductions over they set to work.

Lee was very professional and catered for our every need, his communication leading up to the party was excellent and all the guests commented on his smart appearance and work ethic.

The food was served to a very high standard, unbeknown to Lee, both myself and my wife are ex RAF military chefs, with many a pig roast under our belt.

I’m sorry I did not get to see Lee before he left, however he did say goodbye to my wife and daughter, an excellent event and there was no sign after the dismantling of the gazebo and all the equipment that they had ever been here in the first place. A fantastic job well executed.

The ease in which Spitting Pig dealt with everything was superb, from the lovely telephone manner whenever I called you, to the swift and very prompt emails.

I shall have no hesitation in recommending you in the future.

We were very impressed with your team.  Very polite, punctual and hard working.  The service set up was perfect and completely self contained, so we didn’t need to do anything at all.   Perfect when you are in the middle of a field!

I think everyone very much enjoyed the food, in fact, many people came up to me to mention how good it was.

There was more than enough food to go round (even with a few unexpected extra diners)  great quality and flavour.  The vegetarians I spoke to were very happy with their options too.

Last Friday 12^th May we held a company BBQ at Dowty Sports and Social Club (Gloucestershire).

Big thanks to the Spitting Pig company for catering our BBQ for 130 people.  The food was delicious and the choice was amazing.  A week later and colleagues are still commenting on how good the BBQ was and particular praise goes to the ribs and kebabs along with the vegan option of jackfruit burger.  Added bonus was the sides – after all who doesn’t like chips with a BBQ.  The staff were professional and friendly and couldn’t do enough for our very hungry colleagues who had worked up quite an appetite with all the activities we had going on at the BBQ.  We will definitely be using these guys again.

Booked you guys for our small intimate wedding reception and we were really happy with everything. Wasn’t sure if we would be too small for you but you assured us everything would be fine and it really was. Just wanted to drop you a quick message after last weekend and let you know how everything went! Everybody was absolutely raving about how good the food was and for me it was just such a easy thing to have for the party! Everything was provided and i really liked the wooden plates and cutlery, so much nicer than plastic ones!  Once we were done everything was cleaned away and taken with them which i hadn’t even realised until my other half noted it! Main, Sides and all the added extras like sauces were a great touch 🙂

Our garden party for 50 person including children on Sunday 3^rd July 2022 was a great success.  The BBQ spread which Spitting Pig won great praise from my family and we all had a marvellous afternoon.  If anything the Vegetarian and Vegan dishes you provided proved to be too deliciously tempting for the ‘meat eaters’ to resist and we almost ran out of that option for the ‘Veggies’ amongst us.

We had an initial difficulty getting the BBQ equipment through the 60cm wide side entrance, but the two Chefs, Jorden and James took the initiative to remove the legs of the cooker unit and slid it through sideways. They both went on to provide an excellent service throughout the afternoon.

We will certainly recommend the Midlands branch of Spitting Pig in the future to our family, friends and business contacts.

Everyone has said how much they enjoyed the hog roast – our catering hosts were really friendly and infinitely patient with the hungry grumpy dogs that didn’t leave their sides until forcibly removed.

For me the star was definitely the crackling.  It was amazingly good – I wish I could get it like that when I do my Sunday roast!!

If I have the chance I would definitely use The Spitting Pig again and would 100% recommend them to anyone who wants to host a hog roast!

Wow! They catered for my mums birthday and were just amazing, they went far beyond what we even imagined! As a vegetarian myself I had been apprehensive when a hog roast was mentioned as the chosen catering however i was not disappointed by their range of vegetarian options. They made plenty of delicious vegetable skewers, salads and there was a vegetarian chilli which was amazing! I am now even considering hiring you myself as its not often you get such good vegetarian food at these types of events. Highly recommend, there really is something for everyone – just ask and they will do what they can for you!

Many thanks for being a part of our big event, and a wonderful event it was too. The organisation was faultless both before and during with the vehicles setting up as instructed despite me not being available on site on the big day. Although being very much in the centre of things, the roasting took place without disturbing the earlier activities then came into its own when it was time to serve. The hog roast was excellent and the chips when much appreciated with plenty of food available for all our 200 or so guests.

I was very impressed with the clearing up afterwards and I certainly liked that that hog roast staff were always welcoming and integrated with the catering staff.

You did an excellent job and would recommend the Spitting Pig Co in the future.

We had a wonderful time for my husband’s 40th birthday camping. Spitting Pig were great from booking, giving me options and menus to choose from. Always on the end of the phone and easy to help organise my event.

The chef turned up on time, set up fuss free, served on time and fed everyone. The food was great quality and we got to keep the left overs. Fabulous service would highly recommend.

I’d just like to say the team that came and looked after us were amazing. They were challenged a little by the weather, but their spirits weren’t dampened. The quality of the food, portion size, crockery and cutlery were all excellent and added to my garden party immeasurably. They looked after us without intrusion, everything was prompt and as agreed, the clearing up was discreet and they left the garden as neat and tidy as before. In short, I was delighted with the service and value. Thanks a million.
