Hog Roast Little Aston – Catering For A Funeral

I contacted Hog Roast Little Aston when I was planning the unfortunate event of my father in laws funeral. My husband was grieving therefore I took the lead in organising the caterer and service for the wake. I honestly had no idea who to contact however Hog Roast Little Aston had been recommended to me from a family member last year. I made the decision to give their team a call a few weeks prior the funeral. I couldn’t believe how helpful they were. After twenty minutes on the phone, we agreed on a date, a time and a menu. The menu sounded delicious.

I chose a simple feast of a spit roasted hog, floured bread rolls, a selection of salads and herb potatoes to feed the whole family. We provided our own dessert as my grandad loved to bring his home-made trifle to every event, I explained this to the lady on the phone and she offered to serve the trifle after our main. The team at Hog Roast Little Aston were so helpful and sympathetic about my issues and worries with the funeral.

On the day of the event, I arrived at the wake with my family as we had all been at church beforehand in Little Aston. I was delighted to see a team of professionals with a large master machine, cooking away and making our meals. They had obviously arrived early to set up. The smells were rich and made us all rush to see what was on offer. Soon enough, my family and I were piling our plates with the most tender, juicy meat you could imagine. My children piled their bread buns with the selected sauces and hog. All of us dived in and it was delicious. The team were more than friendly, they smiled and made conversation as we sat and ate. Even their work station looked bright and clean. The chef was especially empathetic and helped me with my grandma as she struggled to walk. I couldn’t fault their service at all.

At the end of the wake, after gobbling up all of the food, including left overs, we personally thanked the team at hog roast Little Aston as they tidied up and left us with full bellies.
