The Hog Roast Stow Heath team always enjoy catering for outdoor weddings. The smell and sizzle of pork cooking slowly in the open air always reminds us of the mighty hog roast’s longstanding position in our culinary culture and we take great pride in keeping this tradition alive.
Another longstanding tradition of cooking outdoors, is unfortunately having to deal with unpredictable weather, which is why we (and all of the guests) were very glad that the bride and groom of the wedding we catered for recently opted to hire a marquee to protect us all from the elements! The damp weather didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit’s however, and with our highly experienced Hog Roast Stow Heath team in place on the day, nothing could stand in our way of delivering our consistently high standard of service. With 150 guests to cater for, including 10 vegetarians, we weren’t going to let a little bit of rain stop us from planning and preparing the couple’s wedding day menu to perfection.
With extensive experience in planning and catering for wedding receptions of all sizes, the Hog Roast Stow Heath team presented a range of menu options to the bride and groom, including an extensive choice of vegetarian options to ensure everyone’s needs were met. After deciding what they wanted, we assured them that they could leave the rest to us.
When the newlyweds arrived after the ceremony, accompanied by all of their loved ones and several large brollies, we were waiting to greet them with a warm smile, a glass of Champagne and a selection of our finest handmade canapes, including smoked salmon and haloumi skewers, ensuring as always, everyone’s tastes were catered for. As the guests took their seats for the speeches, the Hog Roast Stow Heath team were busy adding the finishing touches to the traditional hog roast, locally sourced organic chicken and vegetarian options that had been chosen by the bride and groom. The atmosphere was upbeat and jovial as everyone toasted the happy couple and tucked into the food and despite the weather, everyone had a fantastic time.
