Hog Roast Telford for a Non- Royal Wedding!

Kent - lemon torteWith the attention of the nation fixed firmly on a certain prince and his bride to be, Lucy and Paul, whose wedding was on the same day, were determined that the Royal couple weren’t going to steal their limelight! Short of sending a letter to Buckingham Palace asking them to postpone it, there was little our bride and groom could do about the unfortunate coincidence! Instead they focussed on making their own wedding day as special and memorable as possible, which they certainly achieved when it came to the catering, because they hired the Hog Roast Telford team to provide one of our exquisite wedding menus! With our tempting array of handmade canapes, including mini gourmet sausages, wild mushroom bouchees and halloumi kebabs, followed a traditional hog roast and sirloin of beef as an alternative meat option, and finished off by our own lemon torte and individual cheesecakes, we were certain that by the end of the reception, all the guests wouldn’t even remember there was another wedding happening that day!

Kent - meat2It might not have been Windsor Castle, but the beautiful landscaped gardens of the former stately home turned museum where the wedding reception was taking place, was an equally stunning setting for Lucy and Paul’s celebration. As the newlyweds and their 150 guests arrived, our waiting staff were ready to present them with a glass of chilled champagne and our mouth-watering nibbles to get the celebration underway. As requested by Lucy and Paul, we held off on serving the next course until the photographer had taken full advantage of the fragrant setting to get as many elegant snaps of the couple as possible whilst the light was just right. Our experienced event planners always liaise very closely with couples when we are devising the wedding menu together, as here at Hog Roast Telford we understand that the timing and the style of the service is just as important to the success of the celebration, as the quality of the food itself. Luckily for all the couples whose weddings we cater for, we always get both of these elements right every time!

As the guests took their seats under in the marquee on the immaculately manicured lawn, we got busy with the finishing touches to the succulent meat and vegetable dishes. As Lucy and Paul had hoped, the day was so magical and Hog Roast Town’s food and service were so exemplary, no one even mentioned the names Harry or Meghan!
