Hog Roast WorcesterThis week, Hog Roast Worcester catering manager Greg had his hands full getting prepared for a wedding at the stunning Wool Barn in Frampton on Severn. Our clients had requested our wedding catering team to prepare a three-course meal for their one hundred and five guests who would be seated at around 4pm after the ceremony.

As with any event we arrived nice and early to get ourselves set up and the Hog Roast Worcester food cooking away. The first course was our beautiful handmade canapés. The couple had chosen: Pate on croute- Brussels pate piped onto garlic croutons, Mini Pizza- freshly made with cracked black pepper and Tuscan olive oil, Haloumi Kebabs- with caramelised onions and Smoked Scottish Salmon- with cracked black pepper and lemon on fresh brown bread. We like to serve up our canapés with our welcome drinks reception as guests mingle as this gives the wedding party ample opportunity to get some all-important wedding photos before everyone is seated.

For the main course we prepared our traditional whole roasted hog and some spit roasted chickens. These meats were to be cooked for several hours in our roasting machine before being carved and plated with guests able to help themselves to accompaniments. The accompaniments included our spring green leaf salad with dressing, Homemade gourmet coleslaw and Chefs own pasta salad with mixed roasted vegetables. The meal was complete with the addition of some jacket potato wedges- always a firm favourite with our guests. All we had or do now was get ready for the hungry guests to arrive from the ceremony…
